Any had to insure a salvage titled vehicle here in NC? how difficult is it?

Should be no differance than a regular title. Only most company's will only let you carry liability, unless they don't ask.

I've handled losses on salvage title's before, I'm an adjuster, always amaze's me that those w/ a salvage title vehicle think that it's worth retail.

Always amazes me those adjusters who think us with regular titles can replace our vehicles for less than retail.

That's a hole other story and subject, but to be breif, do you insure 2005 Chev 1500 or do you insure a 2005 Chev 1500 plus the dealers profit of selling it to you?

I can agree with that. If you bought a vehicle with a salvage title you presumably got it for a huge discount over what you would have paid for the same vehicle without the salvage title. If you didn't then it's on you for making an irresponsible purchase. I don't know why a person would feel entitled to retail value when they sell it or when they make an insurance claim on it.
