:shaking: So I get back from having an awesome (sarcasm) time at Parris Island for the last three months and finally go to my shop today to find out that my acetylene tank, my oxy tank, my c25 tank, and my argon tank as well as my mig and tig welders have been stolen...along with idk what else, I'm not even going to look. :rolleyes: I give up. If anyone sees some ~110cuft welding tanks and an ~80 cuft oxy tank, let me know. I can't remember if I put some pink paint on them or not, but I own them all and IIRC I exchanged them all at northern tool last, so they'll say "thoroughbred" on them. The two welders are 220v clarke welders. I know it's a long shot but I've got $200 for anyone that can point me in some direction, this pretty much fucks me over as to getting any work done on my leave time.

That does suck! I will keep my eyes and ears open for any info. Might wanna check the local pawn shops and listings in the IWANNA.

Not yet. I go to lejeune for SOI the 11th. I was combat eng, but at the last moment went for infantry instead. I guess I'll find out what I'll be doing sometime during SOI.
I'd assume I'll likely get put at Lejeune...but who knows?

:flipoff2: I did feel like a gomer at times. For some reason, everyone in recruit training loses all common sense as soon as they step on the yellow footprints. It hasn't all come back yet.:D
 
Do you need proof of ownership to get them filled?,maybe you could go to all the places the theif could get them filled and talk to people that work there.

Sorry to hear about the lose.. they will get what they deserve.. maybe you'll get the satifaction of hearing about them on the news blowing themselves up with your tanks. Good luck finding them.

Yeah maybe they'll try and use acetylene for shielding gas or something fun. I found out that insurance will pay for it (minus a $500 deductable), so that lessens the shittiness somewhat. I've still got a readywelder in the bronco, but no c25...so no working on my junk this vacation. Oh well.
I definately look forward to meeting some fellow boardmember Marines too in the future, I've just got the whole ucmj to remember now when giving the :flipoff2:. :D
