I've been completely unsuccessful in finding these

I'm looking for (if they're even made, I'm not sure) brackets to mount KC's or any lights of that type on my XJ's a-pillars like you see on the TJ's and YJ's. does anybody know if there's anybody out there that makes this possible?

There's not any out there that I know of. You could just drill one hole and mount them on the cowl right in front of the pillar like I did. I don't street drive mine so I dont know if the would be in the way on the street but they don't affect my visibility on the trail. You'll have to pull the cowl cover and wiper assembly and fish your arm down in there. The sheet metal seems to be plenty strong and hasn't bent or flexed as of yet.

actually, I just found some. haha. looks like Zone Worx (www.quadratec.com) makes a pair of them. they mount more on the fenders than anything, but they're at least up in the area that I want my lights (when I get them, of course)

IMHO, lights mounted in that location with a nice, shiny paint job are a recipe for no being able to see much at all. The amount of glare I have seen on the hood of TJs with those mounts makes them almost useless. Put them out on the front bumper, where they can shine down the road ( or trail) where you need the light.

Yeppers.
Only type of light I'd want up there, would be a spotlight, that's moveable, aka police type light.
roof lights aren't as bad, but when you put them on the hood, the glare from the hood is miserable.

Rock Lizard Fab. used to make some, but they dont make cherokee parts anymore. i wanted a set of the a pillar ones. a guy on naxja said hed make me a set for around 60. but i lost his pm and havent herd from him.

Mine work just fine up there but I also have a flat paint job. I also have two mounted down beside my winch for lighting up the closer in areas. Each to his own.
