Just finished swappin motors in my brothers 87 Jeep to a '92 2.5L. The new motor was fuel injected but we pulled the original manifold and swapped it over to the old motors manifold and throttle body. Now, it starts up and idles finally, but the idle is rough and around 1500 RPM's. When you unplug the MAP sensor, idle increases to about 1800, but is alot smoother. Anybody have any ideas?

Vacuum leak!
Get some carb cleaner and spray it around the intake and vacuum hoses until you hear the RPMs drop that will be where you leak is.

same here with the tps problem.... I would take my xj out of reverse and it would cherp tires in reverse

yea sometimes mine would rev all the way up to 3000rpm and stay steady and if you shifted it into gear in would accell to 45 on its own...like i said i replaced my tps and idle air control while your at it make sure the throttle body gasket is good and clean it while you there..
