Jeep auto trans

I have a trans out of 99 cherokee , think its a AW4 ,it is electronic . is this a good trans ? I really like the Ax15 but wife wants to drive jeep . im going to run 1 tons on 37-38s 4:10 gears or 3:73 ,
Jeep will not see much rock , just beach and trails/mud .
Just want advice if this is a good setup . Going to put behind mildly built 4.0 . Thanks

Your going to need a deeper gear. Aw4s are great trannys as long you don't get them hot

add a trans cooler and trans temp gauge

That will help but I still say it's going to need deeper gears also.

No shit. With 373's it would have a hard time getting out of the driveway in high range
