Jeep bolt thread?

Anybody know what the threads are on these? Tailgate on a 01 TJ.

Gotta find a place to mount the tag.

You can also use a 5/16" bolt and an impact in a pinch :lol:

I need a Jody Jeep app on my phone.
Any Jeep question I click a button and Jody answers.

We could probably sell the app subscription for $9.99 a month.
Then we will hire a young excellent typer for $10/hour.
Jody can install gears and such...question comes in typer girl asks Jody answers while working on other vehicles...

Ill market and sell this thing.
We get say 5,000 subscribers...we make $50k/month. We will pay Jody $30k month, Ill take $10k, typer girl gets $2k...and hookers and blow get $8k...
its a fail proof plan...

Yes I know I forgot uncle sam but we will have fun UNTIL he catches us.

I'll be the typer girl. I spend most of my time typing useless information on the internet anyway, and I could use the extra $2k/month.

I'd guess 6mm then. Iirc they're two sizes of holes in the tailgates on TJ's.

same thread pitch? Ended up just me and the mini me driving around for an hour. He likes the Jeep. I keep telling him a Toyota with tube doors and 40s is cooler but due to the death wobble I can’t prove it. Lol

I’ll check on that bolt tomorrow and report back.

The OEM bolt heads are 13mm which correlates to 8mm diameter. Jeep uses 1.25 pitch for their 8mm bolts pretty much exclusively.
However, the spare tire mount was still SAE thread. Those are 5/16" course thread.
