JEEP EXPO INFO
Hello to all,
Interesting last years Jeep Expo topic has come up. I'm truly surprised to see the question being asked!
Last years Expo was held in the vacant lot next door to Wal Mart. Since that lot was purchased by a devleoper, and is now currently building shops on it, there's no chance of an Expo taking place there any longer
I too had a great time and really appreciated everyone's participation and support especially from the CarolinaTrailBlazers.
Up until now, I haven't given serious consideration to holding another event this year. One due to the lot at Wal Mart is no longer available and trying to find a do-able location.
I will say this; If there's enough interest / support, & time - there is a chance that we could use the land behind the Hickory race track. I took a tour of the area about a month ago. I originally wanted to use the area out in front of the race track, on the Tractor supply side of the parking lot... how ever there are some issues taking place that would not allow that.
The Folks at the track are willing to work with me, I just need to give more details, etc. etc.
We also discussed the possiblity of having an obstacle course set up to take the jeeps through. I was trying to offer something a little different, and more exposure to an off roading type event. However, I'm no expert in that area, I just know it's something I'd like to try, and I'd still like to some type of jeep show coordinated as well.
We'll see what happens,
