Jeep Inline 6 identification

My new project is all mixed up, I need to know what year this motor is. The number between #2 & #3 spark plug is 008C06 I'm pretty sure its a 258cid because of the C in the number but I haven't found a chart to define the numbers. Its NO fun at the parts house when you can't give them the exact make,motor,tranny,tire size,chrome lug nuts,tinted windows,cd player to get a wiper blade. Sorry for that it was a rough day. If anyone could help I would appreciate it greatly. Now I have 6 friends calling my name

If memory serves me right the "C" stands for 258 2 barrell.

I didn't realize that parts changed with different year models. I got the wrong oil filter and then I got less help every time I went back to the parts house. They kinda acted pissed that I didn't know what model the motor was. I finally went and got the filter that was on the motor and found 1 to match it myself. I guess what made me mad was I went to their website and with in a couple of minutes seen the different filters and what years each was for. From what I've read the C does mean 258cid.
