Had to help a buddy with his Jeep yesterday. He would start his jeep and it would move about 15' then it would just rev in place. Shut off start and moved again. He could go from Drive to reverse without shutting it off. He had water get into and contaminate it so I can only assume a fluid and filter change may fix his.
The reason I ask about his is because mine will drive all day then out of the blue it will rev up and not want to move while driving. I shut it off and then it goes again. Sometimes it works all day with no issue and other times I do the start and stop thing a lot until it can cool down.
Ideas?
The easy fix for me is throw in my other tranny but don't feel like tearing it all apart if I don't have to.
