just got my jeep back on the road with a new Spartan lunch box locker. Did the set up step by step from instructions. Drove it to town today. go around one round about it does fine. go around the next locks up and starts barking the tires. Going through the mall parking lot and make a tight turn to park hear a load pop. Pull in the next parking lot and nothing. What gives. If this thing is not going to have good street manners I got to pull it out. My wife will not drive it like this.

please give me first hand advice and knowledge on the subject. Yes I know its a dana 35 not worth throwing money at. On the other hand it is a DD that has 488 gears forged yukon axles and is paid for. Yes if it goes Ill do a 8.8.

That is just the nature of that locker, they pop and crack in tight turns, driving down the road you want notice it much but in parking lots they are very noticeable.

yup, it won't you after awhile, that's why I prefer them in the front, they are un noticeable unless in 4WD

run ya some thicker lube to muffle it down some. That little bastard gremlin with the hammer and chissle made me tear down my D44 in Nellie twice before I figured it was normal noise.Did a search on google and popular concensus says run thicker lube.
