Ok today while checking my front bump stops while flexing I noticed my front leafs were bending badly . I have been reading shackle reversal will help with that. Some I've seen online lift the jeep, I'm wanting to keep mine same height . Any suggestions ?

I've built a few that pretty much keep the ride height the same. You have to french the rear hanger into the frame. As far as I know there aren't any "kits" that don't add at least an inch or two. Your jeep is on tons isn't it? So your springs are out side the frame? The hardest part is keeping the shackle hanger from hanging too low.

I had my yj reversed and it drove better. I removed the kit and it is setting about 2 miles from your house, if you want to see it.

It will definitely drive better! The front of the axle won't want to move as much with steering input. You probably won't need a panhard bar any more if you have one now. It'll probably even be less squirrely!

Sliders wont stick down as far as a shackle. This would be helpful on the reversal when playing with pinion angles, etc.

I wouldn't think a slider is no worse off that a shackle from a safety standpoint. It has less moving parts.

sounds like it would be easy to install also , no drilling frame .

Yea sliders work pretty good. They would definitely help make for an easier install. I personally don't like how they slide in the channel. If you do anything other than street driving you'll go through the white plastic pieces fast.

This is where I'm sitting now .

I have seen sliders used on dirt cars as far back as the mid 80's. Never heard any complaints about them. Only ever heard outside criticism. (Naturally a dirt car dont need to flex like off road stuff!) Would have to definitely eliminate all the shackle reversal and resulting bent leafs I have seen!
Only question I would have is do you loose much of the small bit of flex leafs with wobbly shackles offer? Im sure on the road these got to feel much better than a wobbly ol shackles!
