Following up with the thread under new events, the following was borrowed from Pirate4X4:
I was never able to make it to Tellico, I lived in Northern Nevada for a few years while becoming interested in OHV, by the time I moved back East, Tellico was closed. I would hate to see this happen to anyone who may live here now and move out West in the future, along with the obvious effects to KOH. If you have a moment and can share your experience or thoughts on the matter in a courteous way, please do so.
I agree that the Marines need a good location to train, I just hope there is a way for the best interests of the Military and OHV community to be jointly meet. Thank you.
The draft EIS which you are commenting on is available at the following link: http://www.marines.mil/unit/29palms/las/Pages/default.aspxThe Hammers Needs Your Help!
The fight to save Johnson Valley is not over. The 19,000 comments made in the last round of this fight had a huge impact on the Marines and prompted them to offer alternatives. The Marines are still willing to hear from us. This may be our last chance to tell them what we think.
Click here https://extranet.tecinc.com/29Palms_DEIS/ to tell the Marines what Johnson Valley means to you and why you why it needs to stay an OHV area.
