Joining NC4x4

Asking for a new perspective member. He's older than I am, & maybe less technical than I. If that's possible. He told me by phone today, he found this site, but was confused by the numerous questions he didn't understand! It's been years since "I" joined, so I thought I'd look. Well, Skeet, the only thing I can find is Subscriptions. And it seems to only mention making Up-grades, to your profile. I feel like a co-worker I had at one time; he'd tell people to talk to him like he was two years old, so he could understand! He's right! How does one go about joining here? He's got the $5.50!

IIRC, there are a few simple, nonsense questions that have to be answered. It's to prevent bots from creating registrations.
