Think real hard about a cage as your next mod if you are gonna leave your head out there wide open like that with the cross bars and windshield down.........

I would hate to see you lay it over or put it on its lid without anything to protect you.

Just my $0.02

Andy

What he said... That's like riding a motorcycle on a track with no helmet..

Simpson makes helmets or the better option get a cage...
looks like ya'll had fun welcome to the board

haha, yeah the cage.... I wasnt real worried about rolling, that's why I had it down. For most of uwharrie, you couldnt roll if you tried. Thanks for the opinions though, and a cage will be first thing as soon as I get a bender.

You say that but i have seen some pretty bad rolls at Uwharrie. Most of them happened on stupid stuff. It always happens when you least expect it. A cage would be a good idea but welcome to the board. Anyways nice jeep.

With a name like duece40's I was expecting something on rockwells with 40" tires..

ha. I dont see rockwells or 40s in my near future, so no questions from me about that. Thanks for the support Troy!

:D sorry man, we had a run of real doozies here in the last few months......nothing personal, just a bit of humor touching on DOUGHBOY and what not

Buncha real great people here, with a whole hellova lot of knowledge, for those willing to listen and learn.

We get a few smarty-pants that are young enough to still know everything every now and again, that eventually get sent back over to J.U. with their tails tucked, but if you're able to take a little grief and learn a thing or 12 you'll fit right in ;)

Just watch Rich...he bites :D

no harm done here. I love good criticism when it's needed and I'm young enough to not know a whole lot to argue about.

And damn greenlandmonster, looks like it is time for flatties, props to your hi lift for hangin in there!

Welcome to the board!

Keep a close eye out on that Highlift and make sure its very secure. That thing will put a serious dent in your head if it comes loose!!!

Rob, I checked out those rear bumper/tire carriers from rockcity you have on the website and I was wondering if that latch mechanism was just a threaded sleeve inside the 2x4 that you screw into to hold it shut or what? and the hilift mount is mother approved. makes me feel much better knowing that. brackets are like 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 muffler clamps, welded and bolted brackets to roll cage. Masterlocked down since last one got stolen.

yeah, that latch was just threaded in and welded into the bumper. I use all kinds of latches, its just up to the customer, really

Glad to see the jack won't come off its mount...
