I have a 1983 K5 Blazer. Had it three years. It has a 700R4 with a 203. 14 bolt rear end. Stock rear springs with a 4" shackle flip. Wedges with a few degrees. Goes into Overdrive about 25-30% of the time. Buddy suggested driveshaft angle could cause this. What say ye? I can take pics tomorrow, but just curious if this is even possible.

Have you checked tv cable adjustment?
203? Did you swap that? Should be a 208. Does the 203 have a part time kit?

To answer your question, no, the driveshaft angle cannot cause it to not shift into overdrive. We need more info on the truck. Gear ratio, tire size, has it always been this way since you've owned it?

It’s the one he’s got forsale I’m assuming, 4.56s, and looks like 35s maybe 37s.

Sorry for being slack checking this. It is the one I have for sale, but I think I’m keeping it. Looking at the tag on the transfer case, it think it’s a 203, but the tag is not super legible, so it could be a 208. 35s, 4.56s, 14 bolt. Previous owner had 2 different people check the TV cable adjustment.
