I'm looking at dining room furniture for my house, will be used in a breakfast nook. I have a bar separating the kitchen from the breakfast nook. I kind of like the counter height tables.

My thinking is that if I get a counter height table I can get extra chairs that match to put at the bar. Then I can use those chairs at the table when I need to put the leaf in to expand the table.

I'm looking for opinions on counter height tables from those who have them.
 
do you have kids? If little kids, be ready to have to put them in and take them out of the chairs. If no kids, I like the high tables too. Check Ashley's Furniture if you have one near you. We got our set there for a good price on solid wood.
 
I got a pub height (between bar and counter heights) from kmart for like 200 bucks. It's amazing the sturdiness and quality of it. I love the height too.
