Looking for new tire on my 94 burb its road driven beside hunting and fishing holes nothing major past a trail ride! Are the ko2's really as good as everyone says or should I look into something else? Anyone that's had a set in 33"s feel free to enlighten me on the badassness of the ko2! Thanks fellas

I love the km1 but never run the KO series tire!

They fuckin suck.

Been running the old ATs on the F350 and they wore great and lasted a long time, even when I neglected rotation and air pressure maintenance.

I bought the KO2 what seems like not long ago and it's the last set I'll ever own. Poor wear, uneven wear, moderate performance, and they only lasted about 25k miles. Worst $ I ever spent on tires.

Send those back to bfg man They will pro rate the tires from my understanding sucks to hear that tho I loved my old km1s are the km2 shit too?

New less than a year ago and now they won't pass inspection...

:(

Shit tires

The KOs (not KO2s) that were on my dodge when I bought it were by far the worst tires I've ever experienced.

YMMV

Damn I've heard of few people say they separate but I figured it was just a bad set of tires! I'm gonna keep looking may go with coopers I dunno

About 22k on my brother in laws 150 and they where shot. Kos would last 55 60k miles, I have about 20k on my general grabber at2s and they are wearing very even and have lots a life left.

Just bought a set of general grabber at2. But I haven't drove it enough to tell how they are. They have lasted really well on my buddies small truck

I was thinking about a new set for one of the Jeeps. @trailhugger has a set of KOs on hers, and they've held up well. But they don't see a lot of miles in absolute terms.

The skinny 33s on 15" wheels are only $180 regularly priced, though. Kinda hard to pass up.

The Dodge gets Nittos. They're more and more expensive every time I buy them, but they've been great tires.

As far back as the mid 90s when I was slinging tires full time...BFG AT/ ATKO and then ATKO2 are inconsistent as all get out.
Always look good.
Perform decent.
Good tread life on light ass Jeeps.

But anything 3/4 ton....Ive seen several sets not get 30k miles. And last time I checked BFG wouldnt extend any tread warranty on them on anything above a 1/2 ton truck

The first set of KOs I had on my K5 lasted almost 8 years so I went with them again last year. This year when we needed to put tires on my wife's Amigo, of course the KOs are now extinct so we went with the KO2s and so far they have been doing pretty good. Granted, my experiences have both been with half ton and smaller vehicles though. I dont know that they are really designed for the weight of 3/4 ton and up vehicles.

I have KO2s on my 4runner and really like them. They have more sipes and seem to have a softer compound which gives it great offroad traction for an AT, but I can see how others may have had wear issues on heavy tow rigs.

When I bought the KO2 I had intended to buy the Coopee AT3 but the tire shop ordered the HT3 by accident and gave me the KO2 for the same price.

Now I wish I had the AT3. Those or Nittos will be my next purchase

I bought ko's for my 2500 Avalanche tow rig in June of 2013.

Last June they were at 6/32" with 20k miles on them.

Currently have 4/32 with 28k miles on them.

I'm a stickler for changing air pressure empty vs loaded to keep the tire wearing even across tread.

They wore through the first 10/32 in the first year.

I love the tire itself as it offers great traction and quiet road performance. It doesn't get stuck on wet grass like a Michelin. Never had a flat or a leak.
Despite having good performance and good ride quality,

I won't buy them again, just based on first year wearing 75% of the tire.

The last set on my XJ out lasted two engines in my 4Runner and transferred to my XJ. They had 90k miles on them and still had 3/32 tread.

Most likely will be going with a cooper to replace these.

I can get new 33x12.50x15"s for 190$ a piece for ko2 the cooper stt are damn 220$ a piece I've got a huge decision to make I suppose my burb is only 1/2 ton for now too so e range would be what I would get! We'll see how it Goes

I appreciate everyone's input seems like I really made my decision harder tho bc I was sold on the ko2 but now I'm back to second guessing! It's sad too bc my last bfg lasted 6 years on a trail/road rig!

I agree the stt is very aggressive looking tire I don't mind a loud tire or a m/t but I was trying to go with a/t so I wouldn't wheel my work truck lol and mpg etc!

FWIW, they stopped making the STT. They make the STT Pro, which is a little more aggressive than the old STT.

I'll be needing new tires soon an I've got my mind set on the ST Maxx. Not too aggressive and they're pretty damn quiet.

I thought the pro and max were same I'll check Em out

Take a look at the Cooper AT3s, here they are $141/ea, minus $40 instant savings, minus $70 mail in rebate, plus about $100 shipping, should work out to about $140 per Tire.
