For the wifes DD, Honda Accord wagon.

never been real impressed with parts store offerings ( Monroe, Gabriel, etc...) ordered a set of KYB GR-2 from Rockauto.com price was a few bucks more than Monroe, so if they don't perform any better than stock, I guess I'm not out much.

anyone have experiance with KYB?

Car is stock, no mods, nothing special, struts/shocks are just worn out. (140k miles)

This should complete the payment process on the Honda, one last round of heavy maint. ( timing belts, water pump, valve adjustment, fixing any leaks and such) and it should be good to go for another 100k +. might get the urge to rebuild the AC system, kinda weak perfomer last summer.

They're OEM on some BMWs and last a long time so I guess that's a plus.

Using KYB monomax's on the dually, they work well enough.

ive heard good from alotta honda guys that have ran em, and as far as ive seen never had anyone that bought them from me be disappointed (advance auto carries them).... Monroe isnt all that bad is you get the good shocks (after all they do make rancho i believe), but they can be pricey

Had some KYB AGXs on a 94 Accord (they have adjustable damping) and some GR-2s on a 96 Scoobaru GC8. The AGXs were paired with neuspeed touring springs while the GR-2s were paired with OEM springs. Both performed much better than stock, less body roll but not jarring on potholes. On the Accord they dampened well on the crap roads of Oregon and North Carolina even though they went through a shorter stroke due to the 1.25 lowering of the springs.
