leaf spring creaking

just got brand new 4.5" packs. they are not AAL's. how to i get them to stop creaking and squeaking whenever the jeep moves. its annoying since its my DD.

Did you used the correct grease (for the bushing type)?

Poly Bushings? they're gonna squeak. Swap them out for Rubber. I don't care how much Poly Grease you put on them, unless you're gonna do it once a week, they are gonna squeak.

i dont feel like taking them off again, i will live with it for a while and see how long it lasts

I had the same problem with the leafs on my bronco a few years ago. After a conversation with an old time mechanic from back home, I poured a bit of motor oil over both packs and haven't heard a squeak since. Might sound redneck, but it worked.

maybee their rusty (ha-ha rustys get it) try to pry the springs apart while its off the ground and put some grease between them just dont put your fingers in their

I've done the same thing as johnski. Dump used motor oil or trans fluid on them and it will solve the problem. It's worked well for me on numerous vehicles.
