82 cj with 258. Had a carter bbd that filled the crankcase with raw gas. Changed to a Motorcraft 2100 that I bought that was supposed to be off a running 304. It did the same thing. Changed oil again. Then put on another bbd carb that i had on the shelf. It did it again. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the fuel pump? Also if i have to purchase a new carb should I buy a weber,Motorcraft 2100 from the guy on e-bay that will custom make for my application(he has sold over 2200 carbs on e-bay), or buy an Empi from Collins Bros? The Empi is supposed to be exactly like a Weber. Thanks

Three carbs all with the same problem ? You got real bad luck or another prob. If your still running a mech. fuel pump I would replace it.

Also needed to add. Change your oil after putting in your new pump. Run it a while, drop it and change again. Filter too. The gas has most likely cleaned the inside of your engine breaking down any build ups, which you do not want clogging up your oil filter and hiding inside of bearings.
