The heat I can handle, the humidity is what sucks the life outta me.

I've been working in the heat with little issue, and at least half the time without shade, not the most comfortable, but it's ok. I'll drink damn near half a case of bottled water a day.

THe humidity is gonna really be the suck tomorrow, hopefully I can get my stuff done reletivly quick and they haven't driven the hell outta the truck I have to work on before I get there ( make it even more fun to deal with the heat)

Tobacco warehouses and Cotton mills are the worst in this heat, no breeze, and the dust and fibers just stick to you. I actually get a "snuff buzz" from working in the tobacco warehouses. YUK !!!

Thermometer is next to the back door on the exterior wall, kitchen has huge window on same wall is full sun all afternoon, even with blinds it heats up a bit. steel door, heat transfer.

The rest of the house is ~75ish w/ceiling fans going all the time

my pos heat pump could only hold the house at 80deg today.. I closed off the spare bed room and it helped it catch up some... It's days are numbered....

Just move to Michigan! It stays around 25 in winter and about 80 in summer with a few exceptions.

My thinking is like this... no matter how cold it is, you can add clothing, shelter - worse case, you make heat w/ some sticks and matches.
W/ heat - only so many clothes to take off, then its just hot and everybody knows how ugly God made you - and you can't "make cold" nearly as easily.

The heat down here is similer to the bitter cold up north... For a 3-4 week period you alter the way you function. While working out side back home, you'd run out side doe 15min work and run back in to warm up... Just opposite here..

I'd be bitching if it was -15 and so cold your snot freezes to your face... Ill deal with the heat... I don't miss shoveling snow... That and the salt/rust that comes along with it...
