i just got a code saying my lift pump has went bad. the truck will just go dead and is hard to start. i had the code rear and it is bad. well dodge doesnt make the pump that goes on the motor anymore, they want to convert it to an intank unit like the newer dodges. anyone had this problem before?
i am looking at the kit that bd power has and i really like it. it mounts a pump on the frame rail and does away with the engine lift pump. i like it a lot better than the intank crap. what do yall think?

Eric i may be wrong but wouldnt the pump in the tank mean it would last longer? It will stay cooler correct? IDK just puttin in my worthless two cents.

ive heard that also. i just think that while im fixing it i should upgrade it. the bd power unit flows more than stock and can support more power.

I went with a FASS system after putting 4 lift pumps on my tool truck. It's a 5.9 cummins that idles all day. The FASS system fixed me up. I don't know the price difference.

FASS is the only way to go on a Cummins, I got mine on ebay, best prices, most vendors on there have free overnight shipping as well.

DON"T put the retrofit in tank pump, its junk and much harder to change when it keeps going bad all the time

ill look at the fass also ,anyone else on here have one on there truck? wheres the best place to get one? anybody local?

The stock lift pump on my 2001 Ram shit the bed about two years ago. I replaced it with the FASS unit and have been problem free for about 2 years now. I can't remember where I bought it. Somewhere off the internet.

I have an airdog on mine. Couldnt be happier. Plus its rated for 750 HP  .

Btw, the FASS and Airdog are both in the same league. The owner of AirDog is actually the son of the guy who owns FASS. Pretty sure they had a falling out and are now eachothers competitor.

i like the genos garage unit. i dont really need a lot of extra fuel with only a 40hp chip. i may go with it or i am still looking at the bppower unit. there is no way i am going to use the dodge retro fit with intank pump. thats just too much trouble if something goes wrong.

X2, AirDogg is a great kit over hundred bucks less than the FASS system with the same performance and warrenty. Will fuel the truck completely and clean the fuel better. The BD kit didn't really impress me much for what you pay, just a little more and you get a COMPLETE fuel kit with all the lines fittings and get rid of the low output carter pump. Xtreme diesel is a great place to shop to, very good staff.
Oh yeah if you get the 150 gph you'll have to pull the bed or drop the tank, that is the only really time comsuming part but it is totally worth it if you chip/injector a truck.

i went ahead and fixed it with the bd kit. was easy to put on and works fine. i would have went with fass but i didnt want another filter to worry about and it was more expensive. this is my work truck and i am going to keep it pretty much stock.
