Link Length

I am wanting to four link the rear of my YJ and was wondering if anyone could tell me the "optimal" length of my upper and lower links. Thanks in advance for your help.
 
I've heard a maximum of 38-40" for the lower links. Mine ended up being a couple inches longer than that but oh well, we'll see how it works out.
 
There is no optimal length, really.
