Got me an 05 Tundra 4.7 with around 6k miles. Motor was a warranty toss out my connection at toyota told me about. Appearantly it was submereged under freshwater but never hydrolocked. It came complete with everything I needed right down to the motor mounts. I always thought my 4 banger could use a little more umph. He also says he may be able to get a tranny there considering junking. It was dropped off the jack during install and busted the pan and bellhousing. The new parts were installed but the customer complained so they got him a new tranny all together. Best part is all of its free. :flipoff2:

Nice catch, now I want to see you hook that thing up!

What are you going to do about electronics?

dude if you hook me up with an a340f I'll be permanently in your debt

Have to agree. At the very least I would take it apart, clean it, all new bearings seals and gaskets. As I said, at the very least!

It was a flood vehicle. And yes Jon it is a voluntary swap of a sunk motor. I think I have more than enough knowledge from my line of work to know when a motor that has been underwater is good or not and what should be replaced. Like I said it was freshwater so I'm not concerened. Had it been saltwater I wouldn't have bothered. Basically right now the block is nothing more than your average redneck scenerio of splashing through puddles and dumping alcohol in the cylinders to and pulling the plugs to pump the water out, but I'm a little more meticulous about my stuff compared to an average billy bob

I agree definiily no worse than sinking a rig in a puddle. Im sure you have a game plan with what to do, but I'd just fill it with Diesel or K1 and let it sit for a few days.. Pull all the electrical connectors and hose down with WD40 etc.. So you have a few bad sensors out of it... Definitly not the same as a sunk car..
