Curious for anyone who's running or ran a Lock-rite locker in a Dana 44, what's max-tire size? I'm looking for a cheap/easy way to lock the open carrier I've got for my jeep, cause I don't have the near 600 to drop on a detroit or Yukon locker yet. It's a 95YJ, fullwidth Dana 44, 5.13 gears with 38x14.50 TSL/SXs. Any feedback is appreciated!

put it in. You will be fine.

good question!! Im wanting to run a lockrite in the front axle of my toyota and 37in irocks. anyfeedback on you toyota guys on a lockrite and big tires would be appreciated!!

Locrites f/r dana 44 w/ 36" tsls and haven't had any problems yet the few times I've been out. Doesn't slip. When they do wear some I believe you can put heavier springs in.

I'm running F/W44 with 5:13's 38X12.5 and was running 37X12.5 before the 38's and have had no problems with the set up.

I ran a D44 with 36 Irok's for about 2 years with no lockright issues at all. Even broke the D44 shaft, inner long, and u joint, DS, and the lock right never had any damage. Oh yea 5.38's with 203/205 doubler.

I'm running a 5.13 gear in mine.

Thanks for feedback. I've known some guys running 36x12.50 but not with as low gear as my 5.13s
37x12.50 Creepies with 5.38 gears on my rig. 2# air pressure, heavy right foot. Locker has not failed.
Alloy USA joints did. (sucked ass)
Just my opinion.
