Need the liquid hose... Every place i've seen wants $4+ a foot for the stuff... I'd rather order it online.

I need about 15' total, in bulk is fine, I have my own ends....

Idears?

I got mine from Dillon supplys forklift shop. I got 25 ft with the tank end and the lockoff female end for around $30.

I was just at Dillon's, they're the ones who quoted me the $4.25 a foot price...

grr... I'm guessing that was used hose?

The did mention moving soon, perhaps they didn't wanna sell used hose.

Hmmm, certainly you didn't use 25 ft.. how much ya got left... wannna sell it?

I did see Northern has a 15 foot propane extension hose for $25.. I may buy that and cut the ends off if I can't find a better source...

Thanks... Just called, their stuff was all low pressure, supposed to go after the regulator...

my hose was all brand new hp line. I do have some left, just about 5 ft though. I used the extra line for my trans and for my remote filter for my hydro steering. I maybe replacing my trans line though, which I would then have about 10 ft or so, If I do that I can sell ya some.

KC (KC4X4 on here) got mine for me. I think I used nearly 25 feet. I have it run to a bulk head, and then it splits for two seperate lines so two tanks are hooked at the same time. You can't use that propane extension hose, it is for LPG gas, and you will need some rated for LPG liquid( which it is until it gets to the converter )

i heard word that Dillon might be closing down soon, so be on the lookout, you might be able to get it cheap then. if you dont have any by that time.

No, Dillon is moving the steel yard out to east Raleigh.

IIRC, the forklift/tool division is staying downtown.

you need to find a guy in dillon who is cool with you and will quote you the business prices. i was quoted like $230 for a stick of 4x2x3/16 for the reg price and then got the business price of $100 after i became friends with the guy at the counter. same goes for the forklift shop...i asked about a forklift tank in there and got 2 radically different prices

Kinda.. the office is moving across the street where the shop is now, and the shop is moving out to Garner I think he said...

About the hose - ya positive on that? All I've been able to find was 2 different kinds of hose - high pressure and low pressure. LPG is LPG is LPG...or not?

bbq propane is vapororized upon entering the tank(hence no converter on a gas grill, just a regulator to regulate gas flow). Forklift propane remains in liquid form until the converter. Im not sure about the bbq lines, but I would assume there 'hp' lines arent rated enough for a forklift bottles pressure.

Try carquest or a napa shop. I know carquest makes hp lines for trans and steering, so they should have hp hose in stock.

The difference is in the valve and siphon tube.. BBQ bottle is made to pull the gas from the top of the tank, and our fork tanks draw liquid from the bottom through the tube... that much I know for certain. If ya flip a BBQ tank upside down, it'll spew liquid 'pane...

The HP lines are indeed rated for the pressure... 350psi working...

But, if Dillon's can hook me up with a 25 ft length for ~$30, I'm all over it! I need ~10 ft for the run from the tanks to the lockoff, and ~3 feet between the lockoff and the converter, and I'd like to carry a spare 10ft. length.
