Since my doubler wasn't finished in time I took the wife's Tj to Harlan last weekend. It's basically a stock 97 TJ with a 2 inch lift and 31 inch M/T claws.I didn't try anything hard, just basically followed around JC and chip's bunch, but it would have been nice to have had a locker in one end when I was tryin to get over some of the down trees.
So I'm thinkin of put a lok-right in the front.Whats everybodies opinion on them in a 30?? This is not a trail rig at all,but I would like to have a little somethin if I ever needed/wanted it.

I ran a lock rite in the front of my DD XJ for a couple years, open rear. I would HIGHLY recommend this setup for a light wheeler. Unnoticeable on the road, VERY noticeable on the trail. Similar setup to the TJ, 2" lift and 30" tires.

I am a all for the Lock Right as well. I ran one in my 99 XJ,front only. It ran anything I wanted it too. Also had no driving issues at all.

Similar set up 97 TJ, 33's Locked with lockrites on both ends. I love them. Looked into Aussie, only good feedback from them but could only get rear at the time I was ordering. Front was on intergalactic backorder. Went with the lockrites, have no complaints at all! Run with buddies that mostly have Aussies. I dont know that your going to be wrong with either or.

no issues with the LR in my CJ D30, but its got lockouts. Reading the previous replies, I feel good about putting one in my XJ.

way higher on the $$ scale, but I really like my ARB...that way, I never lock it until completely necessary, which hopefully leads to less chance of blowin' it all apart on 36" Iroks...

plus, it's a lot easier to turn when unlocked...

Detroit in my Dana 30 CJ front 36 IROKS, chrommolly shafts, superwich hubs, Hub bolts converted to grade 8 studs. Hydro assist for the steering issues.

Works the best no problems for 6 years on stock shafts, #1 son broke stock shaft winching a tahoe from a local mud hole last year and I upgraded to Warn shafts.

I'm running a detroit tru trac in the the front. Love it. Handles well on the road. high ratio. has neve failed to get me over obsticles.

Where is a good place to get a aussie at and it doesnt effect it on the road? Ive got an 01 xj it a dd i just got a 44 rear out of a rodeo its geared at 4.10 so i was going to go with the same in the front and a lock rite in the rear. Are aussies cheaper ?

You have to buy an Aussie straight from Aussie. Google Aussie Locker and it will show you the wesite. Awesome Choice by the way.
