ok im gonna show my newb stripes. want to go long arms but cant afford it.,but seems like ive seen some rigs with la in front and oe in the back.is this ok or should i wait to do it all at once?i post this after lookin at black friday sales,i might can do the front but not both(front and rear). i drive a tj and its my daily driver.

The word cheap never goes with a rig. I'm not all to familiar with Jeeps but if you have fab skills or a good buddy does it could be done cheaper. It won't have the flashyness of the nice lookin skyjacker la but in my opinion i'll take function over form any day.

^^^x2 What other stuff is done to your tj? Upgrade axles? Lockers? Lift? Tires?

once you go over 4 inches lift the short arms start jarring your teeth out when you hit a bump. If you plan on wheelin it, the rear short arm problem is the tucking of the wheels under the jeep on steep climbs. It seems the rear would be less of a problem on the street than the front except the roll axis sucks. I've seen them lift the inside front tire on tight turns from a accelerating from a stop.

Really?
I know several guys (one of which postd in this thread) who "raced" short arm lifts. And I will promise you you wont wheel as hard as these guys raced them...

Rough Country makes a great long arm kit and is inexpensive compared to others and does great on a daily driver

yep really and good for you and them guys

I think his (and my) point is that if hes on such a budget his money may be better spent elsewhere.
