Looking at late 2000 side by sides

Thinking about getting a used side by side and working with around 5K. I have had dirt bikes for a while and ride them. Thinking a sbs might be a good family machine. Any experience with the used ones? Looking at prices, Rhinos seem to be a good choice?

If you are looking to buy one of the older units, the rhino is probably the most dependable. If you go with a rzr make sure if its a 2008 that the updates have been done to take care of the dust getting into the motor issue they were having.

Post up what you find out. I'm looking at off brands in the 500cc range for my eife and son to cruise around in and new they are $6500 to $7k. Ssr, Odes, etc. I've seen some 2008 name brands in that $7k to $8k, post up some examples if you don't mind, I'm trying to get educated as well.

the bad thing about most "off brands" are when someting brakes it is hard to find parts
if you are looking for some for the wife & son look at the 450 rhino easy to get parts

Not really apples to apples but I have a ssr pit bike. I wanted to keep all the parts I buy local but its hard to find the right parts at major bike shops..... eBay however is flooded with parts. Just .02 to consider
