The Supreme Court has agreed to review an Alaska bush pilot’s claims that state authorities have tried to illegally seize his $95,000 airplane after a passenger brought a six-pack of beer on a flight bound for a dry village.

I think you'll have a hard time finding somebody that disagrees
My hope is a supreme court ruling will strike it and set a precedent limiting this kind of overreach

Would it violate the passengers rights to have his bag searched anyway? I mean tsa can do it, but can a private pilot?

Its a private plane, private property. Pilot can require WTFever he wants from passengers or not provide a service.
The 4th amendment doesn't apply.
