Digging my YJ rental wheeler. I do need to lower the driver's seat about 2-3" to have adequate clearance between my onion and the cage.
It has the OEM fold and tumble base attached to Corbeau seats.
Ideally, I would find a way to maintain the fold and tumble aspect, while still lowering it. Anybody got experience doing this?
Worse case, I will make a fixed mount for the driver's side.
Gracias amigos!

Is there a Corbeau adapter between the seat and base or do they bolt directly to the base in a YJ? In my LJ I eliminated the adapter and modified the fold/tumble base to accept the seat directly, which lowered it a couple inches.

...walking 2 doors down to my shop....

No adapter. The Corbeau is bolted to the OEM slider and seat mount.

The Corbeau seat brackets are lower than OEM
I used those and they were well designed. I liked them. For the price, it was cheaper than my time to buy the metal and make my own. But having held them it would be too simple to make your own perfect to the height you want.

thanks buddy

Note: you do loose tilt the way OEM seats do. Dont know if the standard back tilt is good enough for you?

I just sectioned my factory slider and welded it back together. Removed 2.5” and fit like a glove.
That's the thought. It's the shortening of the scissoring portion and maintaining it's function I'm concerned with.
May just cut it up and see what happens

Do both your driver and passenger seats have the tumble? In mine, only the passenger seat had the tumble feature so I just cut and welded the driver bracket to lower it. My wife is much shorter than me and I never rode in the passenger seat so I called it good.

Yes both my driver and passenger have the fold and tumble. After looking at everything it will definitely be just as cheap to buy the lower mounting bracket from corbeau.
