Hey guys, I'm thinkin of throwin a lock right in my tj's front 30, and i'm wondering if anyone else has run this setup, how the shafts hold up and how well it'll turn offroad. Thanks for the info fellas:beer:

Do it, you will not regret it. Hardly know it is in there.

Tires are only 32's, tryin to find 33's though. Driving style hasn't busted a d35 shaft with a lunch box yet, but it's really just a matter of time.

Lock it. I'm running 34s on stock gears and haven't twisted a shaft yet. Did blow out a u-joint though. The locker does a great job of ratcheting in turns. No worries. Plus, D30 shafts are pretty cheap. I've picked up two spare sets already.

Done, I'll probably pick one up next time i'm in raleigh. Now the only things that can stop me are physics and law enforcement. Thanks guys:beer:

FYI, ZJ shafts fit my XJ as do YJ. I believe TJs are also 27 spline so if you're in a bind, try a ZJ shaft. It'd get you off the trail. I'm running them with the ABS gears though I have no ABS.

I've had to pull the dif and inner shafts and run on the outers to get off the trail before. I'm gonna try and chromo the front and swap in an 8.8 rear, but I'm definitely gonna pick up a spare set off shafts before I hit anything too tough.
