Wanting peoples input on the bast lunch box locker and the ones to stay away from. Heard some bad about lockright and good things about Aussie. This will be going in a Zj with a 318 and 35s. Thanks

I had a spartan locker in my old zj. It got abused quite often and I never had any problems with it.

If you are locking the rear, you only have 2 choices, Spartan and Aussie I believe. I ran Aussies front and rear for a long time, and never had a compaint.

Looking for the front d30. Aussie is what ill probably go with but they seem to be harder to come across then the rest

I had a lockright in my old D44 in the front of my Bronco. I broke the pins after a year or so of wheeling. I have one in the front of my Samurai, and I think it might have some broken pins too because sometimes it doesn't lock, particularly in cold weather.

I'm a big fan of Spartan lockers. Easy installs, and really take some abuse. I have LockRights front and rear now and can't say I love them. I have a lot of play in the cross pins which causes a lot of slack in my driveline. I really feel its something that's gonna break any day now. When they fail I will go with Spartan. Don't know much about Aussie lockers personally but I hear good things.

Well as much as I hate to say it I did go ahead with the lockright and installed it today. Its the only one I could get in time to make my wheeling trip Saturday. I guess I'll see how it does. As of today climbing a tree it did great lol

I have the Spartan up front in the 30. It has held up fine has been in about 4 years. It does pop pretty loud sometimes usually

on the street and when a lot of people are around that don't get the whole Jeep thing . I just say yea I been meaning to fix that .

I like lockrights for anything duel purpose. street trail. lower end tire sizes. Spartans are hit or miss, you get one that works good or it doesn't. I've heard this from other installers. The engagement of all Spartans seem much firmer. The side gear profile is much steeper and more square cut. The biggest problem with all lunchbox lockers is all of them have a maximum rated tire size and most owners overlook this fact. I prefer full carrier detroits (what I have had for several yrs now). I've installed arbs but personally can't afford the set up. I liked my lockright in my ford and broke a few stock shafts and hubs on a frt unit and it never gave up. The last unit I installed for someone was a Spartan. It was so harsh and loud in a Sami with 32's we took it out in favor of another lockright.
