so i had just purchased a set of axles with lockers already in them. ill be checking the condition of them later this week but my real question is that ive never drivin with lockers let alone automatic lockers. ive done some reading and research about the function of it and how it works and find that it "takes some getting used to". now that i have a basic idea of how and when it functions, is it really that bad on the road? just want to prepare myself with what to expect.

I have a lockright in the rear and thought it was going to behave wierd on they road. I've been driving with it for about a year now. The only thing different is that evry once in a while it will pop in a tight turn. Other than that I don't notice a whole lot of difference.

the thing I noticed about mine right after I put it in (lockrite) was when I shifted gears and let the clutch out, it would steer itself. Gotta keep those tires the same pressure or it'll do that. (It helps to have tight steering to I suppose.)

I have a mostly-street CJ-5 that has had Lockrights in both ends for nearly 15 years, and it has also made a good number of trips distancing 500+ miles. tknopp is correct, but also be a bit more cautious on wet roads, and especially in curves. You will get used to it, but it will still surprise you every now and then.
