So...just got home from work, turned on the tooob and found a program on animal planet about tigers.

According to the narrator, between 1800 and 1900, tigers in the Sunderban region of India killed an estimated 300,000 people.

300,000 people, seriously.

Its India though, basically an entire country full of Jungle.

On top of that, there are SO many people around (New Delhi for example) that they have to ride on top of trains to get around (they still use trains as their man transportation over long distances...) so it cant be that hard to find a person to eat if your a tiger..

in any case, thats still a ton of deaths from a single animal species.

One single tiger, the Champawat Tigress is thought to have killed 436 people. Her problems were solved by Jim Corbett as well as many other maneaters in India.

You have to realize that humans are not at the top of the food chain. I don't think it's "politically correct" to tell the kids that in school anymore, though. As far as some creatures go, we are a tasty meal.

Worms and maggots are gonna eat me some day.

If we would not invade their space then they would not eat so many of us

Roy says they are Cuddly:

That can be avoided by donating your body to a medical institute.

Then you get to be eaten by scalpals, drills, and (my favorite) dremmel tools. And somebody gets to learn something in the process.

Seriously, I'm looking forward to getting eaten by worms on day. Just gotta figure out how. I don't see much sense in "saving" my body thru a chemical stew. I won't need the physical body any more after I'm gone. Worms gotta eat, too. What right do I have to deprive them of a meal from my temporary home?

It would be nice if the tigers would migrate over to Pakistan and then into Afghanistan. Maybe we can put some in Iraq too.

I got a chance to feed and pet a couple of 3 year old tigers today, they seemed pretty docile until i turned my back to them, at which point they would charge after me... still cool though, especially after having read this thread this morning.

The problem is, with the codes and requirements for burial today (in the US anyway), being worm-food is a long way off. You're gonna be sealled in a really tight box that is designed to take damn near forever to deteriorate and not let much in/out.
How stupid.
I'd love for my body to be just chucked in the ground. Let some plants/worm/moles/whatever make use of me. but since that won't happen - might as well let Mother Science make some good use of me, provide some useful data for a research study, or teach 4-6 23 y/o kids how the incredible human machine is put together.

In all honesty, India is so populated, Tigers could eat 300,000 people a year, ane they'd never eat them all. By 2010, India's population is expected to be bigger than Chinas. Now look at the size difference between the two coutries.

now that is alot of 7-11 stores:shaking:

They are an awesome species. In 1989 I met the tiger that was featured in the exxon comercials. Its actually a female tiger. Very friendly and licked my face when I was in its pen. Man talk about a tongue that felt like sandpaper. Obviously very effective to remove meat from a bone.

Now Does she look like a killer to you? 2 ft. away from her. I know shes not truly wild. Those numbers seem real high. Hard too believe but guess its true. I think we need to breed more Alquida Killing Tigers if you ask me.

I took the photo 2 weeks ago at a conservatory in Caswell county. If anyone wants more info let me know. They have a real good program going on over there for breeding and rescue of endangered animals. Last year alone they turned away 400+ animals.

Yes. If you truly think that your not to smart.:shaking: When was the last time you helped to domesticate a wild animal? Their instinct can come out at any time.
