Just added to the Smoke in the Valley Music, Motorsports, and BBQ festival at Antioch Speedway May 2nd - 4th. We will offer $100 to the person who has the best ride on the mechanical bull, so if you don't have a car for either the Dirt Cartel FWD race or the $2,000 Enduro race, you can still take a wild ride on the bull. There will also be a trophy for the sexiest slow ride.

There are tons of cash prizes all weekend long at the Smoke in the Valley for mud bogging, motorcycles, atv's, quads, tailgaters, 4wds, race cars and so much more... Check them out at www.antiochspeedway.net

Also, we just started a special 5 day sale yesterday where people can get their passes to the Summerfest festival at Antioch Speedway June 6th - 8th for half price when they purchase their Smoke in the Valley passes between now and this Sunday evening. And, this year when people purchase their passes in advance, they can also reserve their camping areas...Please check out the camping map on our website to find where your friends are camping at.

We hosted just over 2,000 people at last year's Smoke in the Valley......this year based on forecasts, we are expecting a turnout of close to 3,000.

It's going to be fun for everyone!!!

Here is Jessta James song "Ride One" which is appropriate for the mechanical bull promotion for the Smoke in the Valley

The line up of bands is shaping up for the Smoke in the Valley festival along with everything else. There are still so many things being added in to an already packed weekend each week. We have added in time slots on Friday evening of the ...festival for two bands to perform on the campground stage Whiskey Throttle and Ziggy Pockets from the Charlotte area. Of course Saturday night's headliners were booked long ago with sawbones, Chad Triplett and the Ramblin' Gypsy Band, and our Nashville headliner Jessta James. Add Whiskey Throttle to the 2:30pm time slot Saturday and Alabama Sweet Tea to the 12pm time slot on Saturday.

I've been having conversations all week with a new reality TV show "Pizza Kings" who are planning on coming to the Smoke in the Valley to film one of the next episodes. They plan to film at the Biltmore house in Asheville, and then head to our Smoke in the Valley. Pizza Kings are two award winning Pizza chefs John Gutekanst who owns a Pizza restaurant in Ohio, and Bruno di Fabio who owns several Pizza restaurants in the US. In the show they will compete with each other in extreme situations to create the best pizza.

While at Antioch Speedway, they plan on challenging themselves to create the best pizza while cooking it on the engine block of a couple endure race cars. We have also talked about doing a little footage at 8pm with them racing around the speedway in enduro cars just before our $2,000 to win "BOLD" 100 lap endure race.

Make sure to keep up with the latest on the festival as it develops at www.antiochspeedway.net

Finally, we are holding another 5 day sale where when people purchase their Smoke in the Valley passes between now and Sunday, they can get their Summerfest passes for half price. That sale is online now and will remain there until Sunday. ( people who have already purchased their passes online, will also be given the opportunity to purchase their Summerfest passes for half price when they are at the Smoke in the Valley.
