Hi, I'm Nick. I'm new to the forums but I've been into offroading and modifying 4x4's for almost 2 years now. I've had a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee since I got my license and I bought a 1984 Chevy Blazer about a month ago.

Here's the Blazer as it is now with a 12" Superlift (2 right side tires went flat from dry rotted sidewalls within two weeks of purchase but that was expected):

I've already gutted the interior, repainted the ugly brown plastic interior pieces, sanded and sprayed the undercarriage, and have plans for a full Alpine sound system as well as a paint job:

And here's my Jeep. RK X-Factor 3.5" Lift Kit, Hunter Brushguard (in the process of designing and building a steel stinger bumper), custom CAI, ported/polished throttle body, Thrush Welded muffler, dual 4' fiberglass cb antennas, cb/pa, stealth chrome turn signal bulbs, aftermarket hitch, snappy's fogs, crossrails, Thule snowboard racks, red interior LED glow, 17" black Ultra Goliath wheels, 31" Nitto Terra Grapplers, taillight guards, Airram Power Wire, Bilstein shocks...

And an older shot but still my favorite:

That blazer came off craigslist didnt it? Looks like a good start to build off. Most of the expensive parts came with it...ie tires, lift, etc.

It did come from Craigslist. I went to see it a good while back and bought it about a month later. Apart from a few rust spots and messed up trim it's in good condition but the tires were all dryrotted and 2 went flat pretty fast but he told me I'd need to buy a set soon anyways. Working on the money aspect of that right now.

I'd love to see that K-5 on tons. And the Jeep looks great man. Congrats

Thanks! Ya, I'll be swapping the axles but I've got to figure out what exactly to put under there. That and an engine are up in the air. Possibly a 454 block?

Go with the 14 bolt rear axle, and if you have the money, go with the D60 up front. But if you're on a budget, put the 10 bolt front that has 3/4 ton ends on it. The rear leaf perches will need to be moved out 1.25" on each side I believe for that year k5. If you need the 454, I have one for ya
