Yeah, I had heard about it, but didn't believe it. So while camping a couple weekends ago, we picked up a 2 liter and a box of Mentos...that video is pretty cool, but you ain't seen nothing until you've laughed at your friend getting doused by a geyser of diet Pepsi!!! There was less than half the bottle left after the fountain ended...it's much more spectacular in real life...

I watched them do this on good morning america a while back. Was fun to see a news caster get hosed!
I bet the ants in the area loved those guys.

They said that had to drill small holes in 523 mentos so they could tie a piece of monofiliment (fishing string) through them for their release mechinism.

how exactly does this work? you just drop the mentos in the bottle and then it does it? Very cool video...

And, yes, you just slip a 'sleeve" of mentos into the bottle. The more, the better.
