Anyone know a place around the Triad for taking scrap metal too. I have, Steel, Aluminum and some Iron scraps to get rid of. Figured why not get a little cash for it, if I have to move it anyway. I'm in Trinity, so the colser tha better.

I know of 2 here in Burlington, but not sure that would be economical for you. There has to be something closer to WS, but I don't know that area that well. If you can't find anything PM me for directions to these.
 
Atlantic scrap on 66 in K-ville or off of 52 in Winston.
There is also DH grifen on hilltop road in Greensboro.

I have a bunch of metal/aluminum stuff, been meaning to take i nas well. Atlantic Scrap off 52 seems the best bet.
 
I've hauled a couple loads (crushed AL cans & assorted steel/iron junk) to ALANTIC lately. AL was about $.4x/# and the steel was much less... IIRC, about $8/100#
 
Then just wait until you have some other reason to be here... like have a beer with one of us lowlifes that are here... :beer: :huggy:
 
Ah ,yes... but here's an idea... If we all throw our metal in together, maybe we can scrounge enough for a couple of rounds/pitchers to split.
Enviro friendly, buddy friendly, liver friendly, needed-garage-space friendly.... everybody wins!
 
On a side note, Whats copper going for these days?
