I have recently kinda fell in love with these Mini trucks. They are now able to be tagged and street legal as long as they are 25 years or older( I think that's the way it works) Who has personal experience? Or maybe just been around them. All I know is what I have read, and what I have saw n video's. As of right now I am leaning more towards a Subaru San Bar. Options I'd like it to have would be 4cyl engine, 4WD (duh) Two speed transfer case, Diff lock, 5 speed. I could handle a regular or a dump bed. Upgrades I like to be able to do at some point would be taller wheels and tires, which would need to have a lift kit installed. Replace the Jap radio to one that will pick up USA stations, with a USB so I could put my own play list in. Maybe some sound deadening I'd like to get a Bumper made for the front and rear. Front to have a winch(don't have to have a big one since it'll weigh ~2000 pounds or less) And a rear bumper with a receiver hitch Other than that, a decent paint job as seems most come in white.

I looked a while back too. I determined they were not worth what people were asking for them. At least to me. Prepare to pay $,$$$

Man I thought this was going to be about crazy paint jobs and beds tilted at funny angles and tires that would fit inside my rims.....

Chip - you will have a hard time driving one my friend.
At my 6'0 height knees and elbowns are tight together and the headroom aint much. I think you are too tall...or as the natives would say Godzirra

Prepare to have the slowest buzziest ride around, my buddy had a 2wd Mitsubishi and it was dog slow and shifting was terrible. I would look at a cj2 or 3 for that size of vehicle for more capability and fun to drive. You can put Tdi 4cyl ford Toledo engines or Honda k for serious fun

Before I'd get one, I'd for sure know I could handle it for a while (like say taking it on something resembling that thing called overlanding) Mainly would be for trips to town(No Interstate) and for some fun in the snow, If and when we ever have some again! I was 6'3, but with disk issues and neck issues, I am more like 6', and watching videos It seems (the subaru San Bar, has the most room. And the guys I saw driving them were mostly 6' plus in height. This would not be Go to Harlan or the beach to ride and play, If that were the case, it would get there on a trailer. I have not yet driven one, only sat in one. And I'd probably be putting some extra padding the seat just like I do my truck, Jeep, and Corolla.

Oh bet your A$$ I'd love to have another old Willys, but for one in decent shape, I could get two Mini's. My Dream Jeep is a CJ3b, Yeah I'd defiantly prefer one of those over one of the mini's'
I have seen them priced from $2500 to over 10K Mostly depends on condition, which most are in pretty good shape, and mileage And what it's got.

If you have disk and neck issues - you should find somebody with one and go for some rides first.
These things are not exactly great in the area of suspension or any kind of comfort.

Chip - let me know if you don’t get my text . I just sent you a contact for a long time fiend who was the first to ever get nC to title them.

Great dude and y’all will get along and he’ll treat ya right. I think he’s imported 900+ at this point.
