mt city this weekend

word got those boggers put on they suck bad but what do u expect from a cender block shaped tire........anyone elese gonna ride??????

I'm all over it! Well, provided Chris gets my rig done! hehehe

According to google maps, it's 2.5 hours from me. You guys are leaving out Friday night and staying at a hotel right? What exactly is the plan again? I may just leave out early Saturday morning and save the hotel fee. We camping Saturday?

I got tickets to the ECU/UAB game Saturday....I wanna go wheeling but I don't wanna drive my truck up there ;(
It's not a terribly long drive. You should come. Know anyone who could let u borrow a trailer and tow rig? I might be able to get my buddy to tow it with his burb. Not sure if he can come or not. Let me know and I'll check with him. I think he can get a trailer too.

I can pull it with my Suburban, would just need a trailer. that isn't my problem though. my problem is the Army putting a limit on how far we're allowed to go from Bragg on the weekends. I'm not supposed to go more than 100 miles.

Oh, well that puts a hamper on things. Guess they need you close in case we go to war or something. Maybe you can tell them you messed up on the mathg and thought 230 miles was only 100 somehow??

were gonna head out fri after 5 and stay at the high country inn then roll out early to ride im probley not gonna camp sat night.......jonnyb is gonna meet here at the hizzy.....chris your more than welcome to meet up with us to ride out fri just let me know

man I wish I could go with you guys,Im actually taking leave to go on a family trip to florida though,,,,,,,,,how fun.Hope you guys have a great time!

I hear 421 is a bad choice, but I imagine I'll be going that way since thats where the GPS and google maps tells me to go. Know any other way to go that is safer?

I rode up there with a buddy in his XJ a few months ago and wheeled for the day taking that route (421-321 etc). If you are driving your rig up, then its not bad at all. The not so safe areas of travel are fairly limited.

If you are towing then that may be a different story, depends on the person really. Another person I wheel with that has family out that way (visits quite often) and trailers his rig takes the I-77 route. Which is I-77, to I-81, then to 91. But this tacks on an hour to your drive.

Ironically I have also taken this route, but when I was going to Bristol to pick up a truck (minus the highway 91 part, went straight on 81). It is more tow rig friendly, but honestly I was just fallowing google maps. If I had to re-do it I would have taken 421 probably.

I won't be able to leave the area until around 7pm. Can you give me the address of the high country inn? I'll just meet you guys there Friday night. What time we leaving out Saturday morning?

I'm towing, but my truck is pretty stout. Four wheel disc brakes and all. I should be fine, plus I'll be sure to go really slow. Might even do it in the hammer lane to piss people off! :fuck-you: Don't feel like making the drive any longer than it needs to be. Thanks for the info.

im all for goin the shortest/quickest route, hills and curves dont bother me

Thanks hillbilly. Why don't we just stay there guys? Boone is still an hour from Mountain City. Either way it doesn't matter to me. I'm just excited to be going!
