My project yota

this is where ill post pics of my project.

hell, lose the bed all together. get some one to weld up a cage or flat bed back there and your good to go. err..uh....soo...what ya gonna do with those tires?

both sets of tires are on 15" aluminum bullet hole rims too. the bumpers alone are worth 150$ to me.

the 31s are my rollers for now, and my freind is finishing the boggers off on his truck. i sold him for 50 bucks.

lemme know when you get rid of the 31s. sounds like after parting a few of the extras out...you could actually MAKE money on this purchase!

change of plans, i took the bumpers and put on my other 87, and im going to part the truck out.i have too many vehicles. look in the parts forum for it. posting some pics in about 5 mins.

My project after removing bumpers off the 150$ truck, and put them on it.

the specs on my current project is 2 inch lift, 33s,alum rims, tube bumpers, soon to be painted, and will be adding 2 inches of lift to help with tire clearance. im thinking of going with white for the trucks color. want to get 35 tsl radials, and a roll bar. will post pics as i do stuff to it.

Fixed bed and primed it, painted both bumpers, going for the cab next. ordered a 1" bodylift yesterday.

what should i do about the body-line cracks??

hah im gonna try to keep the lower part of the bed on there until it falls off like the last one. i was wondering what to put in that crack to fill it up.

Sanded and primed the front end. All new balljoints, New brakes. (1 inch bodylift, and 1.5balljoint spacers, and front axel drop kit from 4crawler.com should arrive at doorstep very soon). And hopefully some 35" swampers. And then an alignment.

I'm really curious to see how you're goin gto fit 35" tires on an IFS rig w/ only 2.5" of lift.
Are you planning to trim the fenders and beat/bend back the seam?

i already have 33 x 12.5s on it with 1.5 inch lift, no scrubbing at all im going to put the 1.5 inch balljoint spacers on it and turn the t-bars down about half an inch and put the body lift on it. so thats 3 1/2 lift. i think it might be able to clear. if not i will probally trim the fenders. but im pretty sure they'll clear.

i have 2" blocks in rear and t-bars turned up 1.5".

Keep in mind those 35" swampers are WIDE. That's what will get you. It will clear in teh well, and even full compression up/down (although your travel will probably suffer w/ thw t-bars cranked), but the problem wil lcome in w/ the wheel turned and comrpessing at the same time, you'll be knocking against the inside of the fender well/firewall.

I'm only running 32x11:50 BFG ATs, w/ the same 1" body lift (homemade mine though) and 1.5" BJ spacers, and I get occasional rubbing now at full compression turning.
Only difference is that I have my t-bars fairly un-cranked to help w/ flex.
Once I move up to teh 34x10,50s though, I'm sure some cranking will occur - but I a set of higher-strength t-bars to help w/ that....

It's looking really good, I cannot wait to see the paint job. If you are able to take progress pics of the paint job I would love to see it.

Im going to try to find a skinny tire like a 35 12.5 i might go with 35x12.5 mickey thompsons. i hope i can clear them, if not i guess ill have to take my spare fenders and trim them. the tires will be the same width as the ones im running now, just 1 inch closer to the fender. 33x12.5 : 35x12.5
