Final came time to get my wife a new Jeep to replace the 1999 Cherokee we have with 186K miles on it.
Still runs fine, but she was getting nervous just because it has a lot of miles.
Since it will never go off road, and we needed to fit our 6'3" 14 year old son in the back, we bought a 2010 Patriot yesterday.
Damn thing has more back seat leg room than a $37K Grand Cherokee and can easily fit a driver that is 6'5". I am only 6' and usually wish the seat would go back further, but in the Patriot I had to pull it forward.
So, if you are in need of a family on road Jeep and don't to seat 5 kids, the Patriot is worth considering.
And because it was reasonably priced, I can look for a low miles 94 or 95 YJ in a few months to transfer all my upgrade equipment from my 93YJ. Rust is eating it up one panel at a time. Parking brake bracket is pushing through the firewall again.

A side benefit/Conundrum is that my wife wants me to sell the Cherokee, my built 93 YJ, and my 2009 Buell XB12Ss and buy a new Rubicon. That was unexpected.
My Buell is sweet. Don't know if I could sell it.

DONT SALE THE BIKE!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT..... I Know I sold my '06 HD 1200 XLC custom.... I miss it like crazy

@ Mountain, I know I will regret it. But due to degenerative osteoarthritis in my tail bone, I can not ride without pain for more than an hour.
After my kids are out of college, I'll buy a road king with a fat seat I can have customize to keep the pressure off. There is just no way to do that on the narrow sport bike seat.
At least I got a chance to experience the best motorcycle ever made. Not the fastest. But still the best handling most innovative motorcycle ever produced.

@ Ray, PM
