Well, I think I may have a problem. I am apparently addicted to Toyota Trucks Just picked up a 2004 Tacoma on Friday to replace my dead 1991 Toyota 2WD. So I now have:
1985 Toyota 4WD project
1991 Toyota 2WD donor
2004 Toyota Tacoma 4WD daily driver

How can I tell what gears/axles I have? I thought that they only offered an 8" with 4.10s in these trucks but I'm not sure

Great find. In 85 I think they offered a few differsent ratios, 4.10, 3.92 or somewhere in there, 4.38, and i think they even offered a 4.56. But the most common in the 4 cyl, 5 speed is the 4.10.
