We are refinancing our house, and had to get an appraisal done. The bank sent an e-copy today, and I LOL'd when I saw the pics.

Let's play a game...try and guess which pics are my property, and which ones are the comprables.

I hear ya, I have got the destroyed race cherokee on jackstands next to my out building, maybe they should list my house as a comp.:beer:
 
How close are the neighbors? I have always maintained that I would rather live in a shack in the woods than a mansion 10 feet beside another one..lol

There are some A list homes in those pics..but your home is nice to. If yours appraised and sold for the same amount as the big brick houses, i'd be very thrilled if I were you!

They photo'd mine on a good day, I got real lucky. I think the racerig has only been on all 4 tires just a couple days in July.

We have well/septic, so the lots are at least 1 acre. Driveway is just over 50ft long, houses are not on top of each other, but clearly visible to each other. That was a comprimise we decided to accept, wanted the kids to grow up in a neighborhodd with some other kids nearby. Originally we were looking for the house in the woods, but real estate agent talked us into a neighborhood.
Oh, and we were very happy with the comps and appraisal.

haha, good one! I suppose I set myself up for that one :)
 
For awhile, Google Maps for my old place in Lewisville had the $30XJ in my driveway
Now the Street View pics just show a huge muddy spot in the side drive where I used to wash off the 4Runner and XJ. They must have gotten real lucky, coming by durin ga time when one of them wasn't outside... in pieces
