I have wanted to build one of these since i saw Larry Smiths in tellico a long time ago. Bruiser got his built quickly and so now its my turn for my rendition.

sorry about the crappy pics, its still in the gargage for now. there are some pics at work of it outside during the mating of the two.

i started with a 28' deckover gooseneck trailer and added a truck camper thats measures 16' 6" long with 10' 3" on the deck and the rest sitting on the goose.

i still need to do a little leak repair on the overhead bunk side and build the exterior cabinets and the fold down tables on the sides. the awning still needs to be mocked up and my folding staircase should be here this week.

the fit was perfect over the top of the trailer

we had to set the camper back a few inches to clear the tanks underneath the camper. they are flushed into the trailer with the valve access behind the camper.

big thanx to gus (4bangeryj) for his dead on cutting on my trailer.

i used my biggest rig for fittment

its wayyy too late to get into that fiasco. about 15 dudes and alot of cussing. we used 4 55gal drums with 14' of beam welded to them. removed the trailer wheels and flattened the f250 tires and proceded to back the 28' goose under the contraption.

im going to dig up the assmebly pics tomorrow for a good laugh

wow,I think im going to get a job at 4wheelparts when i get out of the military lol!!Looks great man!

Awesome Glad to see you get it on there..

You gonna have it at DPG race?
if I can make it I may need to park near you for comparison :)

FYI.. I am changing my tie downs.. I am building side supports to help hold up the over hang area of camper.. I have found that with the tie downs I have like I see on yours is it raking the camper back wall and the door is having a hard time closing. so before you make any trips I suggest building a support bar from deck to under side of over hang so your side do no get pulled down like mine started to and you have same issues

do you mean like a stiff leg support running up and down? from the corners of the trailer. if so i am already thinking of doing something similar out of 4x4 lumber.
also i did my tie downs back to center of trailer to reduce ftrailer flex pulling at them.

correct, a stiff leg like a 4x4 will work perfect..

I am building them on each corner then will put boxes under each side for storage, generator, tools, etc

Uhm.. can we go down instead? :p

im not touching that one!!

cool, i will add them to my build then. i am also going to make aluminum fold down tables/cargo retainers that will fold down on each side.

Badass build. I like.

Looks good Greg! No more cold damp mornings
