My New S10 Truggy

Well, I am not a big Chevy guy, but this one was what I was needing.

1985 S10 extended cab sitting on a 74 frame. Has a kingpin 60 up front with 4:56 gears and Detroit Locker, 14 bolt rear with a Detroit as well. 350 fuel injected to a turbo 400. 205 tcase twin sticked and clocked. 39.5 TSL's.

I need to repair some of the tubing on it and put disk brakes on the rear. I need to clean it up a little as well. I am going to be taking it to the Gulches this weekend to shake it down and see how it does and what needs to be changed.

hey man, i lived in inman! where did you find it and how good of a deal did you get. i'll be that guy. sounds like a good solid truck.

I traded a more streetable truck for it. I got it from the builder over by the mill. G-Street I think was the addy.

Was doing a front to back check over to see what needed to be addressed. Found the bearings were shot on the left front wheel. So now I am in a scramble to find all the bearings and races to go wheeling this weekend.

And yes I have already bent the tie rod back into shape lol

Big thanks to Oreilly Auto Parts...believe it or not they had all the bearings and seals to put this thing back together. All new National bearings and races as well the spindle bearing that was MIA on it... Looks like it is on for this weekend!

Aftermath from the Gulches this weekend. Need to install a new electric fan and clean up the wiring. Replace the tie rod with something heavier duty. Really thinking about going full hydro. This thing turned like a turd this weekend. Also need to replace the fuel pump. Probably going with a Holley pump and run new line from the cell to the engine.
