Sweeeet! My sponsorship went through!
Here's my rig. Not too shabby, I don't think, for an 18 year old fresh into college. I've got some money into it, but I started with a stout platform to build on and haven't had to do much.
Specs:
1986 M1008 CUCV
6.2 diesel
built (by me with lots of beefy internals) 700R4
NP208
Dana 60, 4.56s, LockRight locker, stock 30 spline stubs for now
GM 14BFF, 4.56s, Detroit, drum brakes for now
ORD crossover steering
4" HD Tuff Country springs
1" ORD Zero Rates, moved front axle forward 1.5"
3" rear blocks
ORD rear u-bolt flip
ORD Kevlar extended brake hoses
I usually run 11.00R-16 Michelin XZLs on 16x8 ProComp Rock Crawler rims, but I also have a set of 38x12.50-16.5 Swamper SXs on recentered 8-bolt humvee rims.
There's a lot more little stuff I've done, but that's the jist of it.
Enjoy!
