NC built Lambo goes 250 MPH!

I heard they had gotten into Vipers and some more semi-exotics but I didn't know they were working on Lambos. If anyone remembers back when I think it was 2Fast2Furious came out Keith Howeth (sp?) or what ever his name is was NBC6 in a Mustang talking about street racing. It seems their business has grown from Mustangs to Vipers, to Lambos and beyond.

fuc. a lamabo and all that shizz, i got a ws6 street worthy that will murrrderrrr all that baller half a im flashey stuff kinda fella................... the shit has been talked!!! what?...
:wheel:

i know its alittle off 4x4 intrest, but do people on here have the go fast bug like me as well ....................:bounce2:

lol...you've never crossed an underground car then

but they do lambo's and vipers, and have all the records. 7.97 in a street viper is just insane. they also just came out with a ferrari f430 1000whp setup. a few guys over on hpj have underground vipers...and they're SICK

I have been at the track with some of the Underground Lambos and they were crazy fast. We also have a Cars & Coffee each month and they bring out a few Lambos and Vipers. Always show stoppers.

stunnap, I have the speed bug big time! It's just too expensive for me to have a fast car right now. Wife & I need to get into a house.

I'm still wanting to build something with an awesome HP/weight ratio that will smoke the tires and be able to handle. My current dream would be a 93-95 Rx7 ls1 build.

I miss my GN so bad! I remember going to a few Underground gatherings in Charlotte. They had some nasty cars! They were a bit cocky too. I never understood the street racing thing. Take it to the track.

Not surprising out of that shop. The Howeth's have been turning out some wicked fast cars for years. Good to see a shop continuing to grow and get the press. So many go under. They had one of the Vipers featured on Dream Car Garage a few years ago an other spots here and there. If you ever get a chance to take a look at some of their work its impressive, everything looks OEM and like it was supposed to be there.

Its crazy fast but the car isn't controllable, he spins it 3 times in the video. Had he not been on an airport he would have crashed. You cant just make a car fast, it has to be divable

Aren't they the ones who got into trouble for setting up street racing in the Charlotte Area? or something like that? around the same time they did that bust at stone crest in the piper glen/ballantine Area a few years back.

I like a fast car but that's just pointless. nothing but a Penis extender if you ask me. what are you going to do with it?:shaking:

ballantine was mostly just stupid ricers who don't know when enough is enough

and as for saying it's a penis extender...um, what are crawlers then? no different. people with disposable income will build what they want....whether it goes fast or slow...it's all the same. i'd kill to have 52x just as much as i'd kill to have an UG viper

It was at least a year or two before the Regal (Stoncrest) bust that they were being looked at by the police. Their old website had a forum where a lot of street racers hung out and organized races etc. There was a lot of talk about street racing in the public area, but there was also a private forum. And the police ended up wanting access to the forum, and shortly there after the forum slowly died off.

So the Howeth brothers (I think they are related) didn't directly organize street racing, but they provided a place where people decided to. They ended up getting away from all that and in turn their business has grown.

exactly...but it wasn't JUST that forum. i was on there, and we strived to use a lot of "mexico, canada, texas" talk but, stupid ricers love to ruin stuff and they did just that.

That's only 22 mph slower than the fastest Street bike at "The Mile." A busa went 272 last month.

I was alittle hammered last night during my posting.....
Don't get me wrong, exotic cars are awsome. total respect to what those local guys are doing..
I think the money toward a super car hobby of that nature isn't that great. u dont get to play with it like a regular street car, or a trail rig... Its cool if its on that top gear show on bbc.
but u can only do that closed coarse driving.
And nobody knows how to fix a lambo? huh, ever heard of a lambo transmittion shop. U brake something, your pretty much over a barrel.

As an eye witness, they played more of a part in street racing than providing just a place to talk about it! I never engaged in it myself, but was around to watch. Yes, guilty by assoc., but they even came to HKY one night and turned a simple meet and greet into throwing down big cash and getting into a supposed race with a local.

I'm sure they have learned the error of their ways and are making an honest living now, but when that was all blowing up they were a more crucial role than an innocent bystander.

10 years ago in Hickory everyone was throwing down big money on races without them. Napa was the place to go if you thought you had something.

haha napa was ONE of the places...........but deff not the only one

i think the LAST time i was out at any of the races was when the purple 3rd gen from g-boro popped in and pulled a piece on everyone after he lost to a "slow" 4 cylinder the little money that was won wasn't worth risking getting shot or having to shoot
