NC Safety Inspection on a 1992 Cherokee

probably will pass. My 04 4Runner has a similar looking crack and passes everytime.

Good deal.
I was concerned since that is where they typically put the sticker...can they still stick it there or can they stick it somewhere else?
I'l like to put it elsewhere so there wouldn't be pressure on that spot when they scrape it off...make it worse...

Your windshield should only fail inspection if it "impedes the operation of the windshield wipers". When they "trained" me for inspections, they instructed us to only fail them if our fingernails got caught in the crack (on the premise that this could damage the wipers).

Check you insurance. Mine pays for free windows. I've had two windshields and One rear 1/4 panel replaced for free.... and no insurance hikes due to it. I don't recall if it's NC requirement, or just something my State Farm policy covers.

So there's a "Save the Wipers" campaign? Those poor helpless wipers need our help! :D sorry, couldn't resist.

Yea, they have to by law put the sticker there. But that rack probably won't fail an inspection.

just replaced the windshield in my cherokee it was only 185 installed, and came to my work and did it in the parking lot... I called my insurance- they said they would only fix a chip for free- the full replacement is an extra option to buy on my policy...
